Armenian Party Dresses

Ok, girls, now you’re invited to a wedding or engagement party or the “Last Bell” party?
The first problem, OMG I’ve got nothing to wear. And the terrible cloth searching times begin.
Sounds familiar?

First steps: visiting Tashir, Hayastan, Rossia, learning by heart all the boutiques of Abovyan street, feeling tired, feeling depressed, calling all your friends and being informed that they’ve faced/are facing/will face the same problem, writing a status on facebook, reading complaints and advices to order a dress in an atelier, realizing there’s no time for the order, searching google, online clothing websites and finding plenty of beautiful dresses, again feeling depressed….

Have you just experienced the feeling of a "Déjà vu"? Then continue reading this article. :)
Now, the second part of the story.
You’ve finally found something suitable and you’re on the party place right now.

This is the day where every girl should feel she’s the most beautiful. However, what you see is mostly terrible. So many ugly dresses: too much sparkling, too big bows, too bad combination of the colors, the dresses don’t suit the body types of the girls, they had better wear their common jeans, at least they would look prettier.

Now you realize you were not as unlucky as most of the girls in picking out the dress. You think for your own, what would you advice to wear a particular girl from the party, that you think would really suit her, and understand that you’ve gained a lot of experience in these crazy dress-searching marathon. You could have shared your experience with others and read the stories of more experienced peers.

This is the place to do it.
Come on girls, tell us your secret of being the queen of a party. :)

  1. To tell the truth I prefer to sew my party dresses with my own design, it eliminates the risk of being copied, in other words you avoid a very unpleasant situation when you discover that you are not the one in the hall in that perfect black little dress :)

  2. I always buy the most most most possible SIMPLE dress,,,,, then I go on with "accessorizing" it-belt, jewellery, scarves (or juju? i don't know how those are called),etc. no one can ever have the same imagination than you!

  3. I agree with Lucy, but the most difficult thing to do in Armenian shops, is too find something SIMPLE.
